Axonometric
Axonometric explores the translation from planar drawing into extruded condition, not through precision, but through estimation and instinct. Rather than aiming for accuracy, the drawing is constructed upon awkward compromise, in which proportion, scale, and structure are negotiated in blind hope. In this dialogue, the translation process is not stable, but remains responsive, guided by perception rather than calculation.
Extending the ideas introduced in Section, Axo moves toward a more defined material condition. However, this process of extrusion enacted reveals its limits. The forms tend toward reduction, producing translations that remain explicit extension of the ground figure provided by Plan.
In this, Axonometric exposes a tension between a material emergence and the retention of source material. While the drawing advances a language of translative construction, it also highlights the need for greater complexity—illuminating a point where re-alignment is necessary.
